TheRaccoonteurs is an ensemble of storytellers, heirs to Puerto Rico's first filmmaking dynasty, producing original films, tv series, books, and immersive art. All created by non-robotic entities.
What is inherited,
is not stolen.
In 1934, Juan E. Viguié Sr. made the first sound film of Puerto Rico. It vanished without a trace, until it resurfaced at UCLA eighty years later.
Romance Tropical is a cinematic jewel: the second Spanish-language feature film in the world, distributed by MGM's Latin Artists Picture Corp. An astounding success, then gone. Its mysterious disappearance and miraculous return became the spark that reunited the Viguié family behind the camera.
Today, the third and fourth generations carry the lineage forward as TheRaccoonteurs.
